He considered two names; Eugene and Song-i. They didn't choose Song-i which means blossom. Instead, they chose Eugene.

Eugene is composed of Chinese letters, and each one has a meaning. Eu means 'enough' or 'wealthy' and Gene mans 'treasure' or 'worth'. My family name, Rhim(Rim, Lim) means 'forest'. The origin of Rhim is Chinese. It was transmitted first to Korea, and then from Korea to Japan. So, Rhims are spread throughout East Asia. People target them with commercials or store displays. Most of product commercials are shown before or after children's programs like cartoons, children's drama and children's educational programs. If there is no punishment, many people will become victims. Then, the world will be more confusing.

Also, people don't have the right to kill other people. Taking a human life is throwing out human responsibility; that is, the murderer stops being a human being. In addition, the murderer has to receive the death penalty because the murderer killed someone.

If an atrocious person is not executed, many people live with uneasiness. When we talk about cosmetics, high tech, and music, we use English words. Koreans use music words such as rap, hip-hop and R&B. Also, Korean use English words to talk about we say cosmectics, skin, lotion, lipstick and foundation. Finally, Koreans use a lot of high tech English words. For instance, we say computer, Internet, and virus and we even use 'high tech'.

I think that Koreans use English words because they are new things and we don't have suitable words. The son never listened to his mother. She said, "Son, there are many fierce animals in the upper field, so play in the lower field."However, he didn't listen to her and played at theupper field. The son frog was annoyed at his mother because she always worried about him. "Why doesn't he listen to me? He never minds me." said the mammy frog. The mammy frog was sad because the son frog was always up to some mischief. He grumbled, "She is always scolding me."

One day, mammy said, "Son, when you are croaking wrong. Say 'Croak, Croak." He was annoyed and said, 'Kaorc, Kaorc'. She listened to his croaking and became angry. She said,"Don't do that; please listen to me."
But, he never listened to her. She said, "I will get sick because of you."

One day, she really did get sick. "Son, I'll die soon." she said. "Don't worry about me; I can live alone." the son said. "Yeah, all right!" she said.
"Then, when I die, don't bury me on a mountain; instead bury me at a
riverside."

She made that request because he always did the opposite of what she said.
After that, the mammy frog died. The son frog cried sadly and said, "Oh my! My mammy died because of me." He regretted his behavior as soon as she died. He was crying and then he thought about her will. "Yes! I didn't listen to her frog said.

So, the son frog buried her on a riverside. One day later, it was rainy. The son frog worried about his mammy's tomb at the riverside. He said, "Oh my! What can I do? Her tomb will wash away because of the rain!"

After that, whenever it was rainy, he always went to her tomb and looked
after the tomb. He was scared that it would wash away and cried sadly,
"Croak, Croak, Croak." So, if it is the rainy season, many tree frogs cry on a riverside even now.

In my life...

I am globalized. In addition, I'm visiting a Korean web site now.

Crazy Over English

English has really influenced my country, Korea. Nowadays, many parents are teaching English to their young children. They are going crazy over English. Why are they doing this? The reason is English has power. English is a global language. Korean students are now learning English from elementary school to high school. Also, university students listen to some English lectures or study by themselves. Korean are studying English hard because many companies are requiring English skills. If somebody wants to work at a good company, he or she has to have a good Toeic score, because many Korean companies are becoming globalized.

Hi!
